If you forgot your password and need a new one, visit http://duolingo.com/forgot_password and enter your email address (associated with your Duolingo account). We will send you a link to that email address, which will enable you to create a new password for your account. If you are using the Duolingo mobile app and are having trouble resetting your password, try to reset your password via the Duolingo website and then using your new one on the app after it has been successfully reset.
In case you did not receive the email we sent you, check your spam folder since the message could have been filtered there. If that is happening, try adding Duolingo as a trusted contact, and mark the message as "this is not spam" if your email provider offers that option.
If you originally signed up with Google or Facebook, you will need to supply the email associated with your Facebook or Google account instead. If you signed up with an incorrect or fake email address, you will not be able to change your password.
