Currently, teachers and parents are able to disable the following features:
Discussion forums: Where students can participate in discussions with other users, often native speakers or fellow learners, including course contributors. Activity Stream: Where students can see and comment on another user's activities or leave a message. Students do not need to be friends with each other in order to leave messages on their activity stream. Immersion tab: Students can participate in translating user-uploaded articles and discussing articles and edits.
Mature words: Teachers can choose to hide grown-up vocabulary words from student exercises (words like "beer" and "murder").
By default, all vocabulary is shown to students, and all social features allowed. If you wish to change this, go into your settings while on your Duolingo for Schools dashboard and click on "Privacy settings."
A module will pop up that lets you customize your students’ Duolingo experience.
